Music for the Heart
Music for the Heart
ABOUT US
Music for the Heart was founded in 2005 by Dr. Jeffrey Pentecost, an Oregon physician recognizing a lack of public awareness
about cardiovascular disease and unmet needs in basic research to discover root causes of heart disease. Pentecost's interest in music
inspired Music for the Heart, recognizing that the natural appeal of music can help draw public attention to this
problem and raise money to discover cures. Proceeds from our benefit concerts fund basic research aimed at understanding causes
of coronary disease, hypertension, strokes, congenital heart defects, and other forms of cardiovascular disease.
Pentecost founded The Struble Foundation in 2006, a non-endowed public charity (501c3, non-profit) to operate Music for the Heart.
It is named in honor of Glenn (deceased) and Juanita Struble.
Emmy Award Nominee, Janine Wolf, serves as our Development Consultant, bringing experience in radio and television
broadcasting and program development to our team.
