Music for the Heart was founded in 2005 by Dr. Jeffrey Pentecost, an Oregon Osteopathic physician and surgeon specializing in heart research. Pentecost sees a lack of public awareness about cardiovascular disease and unmet needs in basic research to discover root causes of heart disease. His life-long passion for music inspired Music for the Heart, utilizing the natural appeal of music to increase public attention to this problem and raise money to discover cures.
